Rohr reveals Mikel Obi is in “advanced negotiations” with Marseille
Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has revealed that his captain, John Obi Mikel, is close to joining Olympique Marseille.
According to him, the Chelsea midfielder is currently in “advanced negotiations” with the Ligue 1 club.
“I saw him in London. He is in advanced discussions with Marseille,” Rohr told Europe 1.
Mikel Obi has spent more than 10 years at Stamford Bridge and his current deal expires next year.
The 29-year-old is yet to play a single game under Antonio Conte, since he returned from the 2016 Olympics and has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and China.
