I Gotta Feeling is a dance pop song which is the second single by music group The Black Eyed Peas, from their 2009 fifth studio album The E.N.D.

French DJ David Guetta produced the song with Frédéric Riesterer, who also co-wrote it.

The song was released as a single on June 23, 2009 and continued the group’s impeccable and successful chart records.

In the US, it reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Top 40, a feat it also achieved in 14 other countries.

Furthermore, the song was nominated for Record of the Year at the 52nd Grammy Awards but actually won the Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

It has also registered over 8.9 million downloads in the US and holds the record for the most downloaded song on iTunes of all time.

Tidbit: The “woo-hoo” line in the song is sampled from British rock band The Police‘s 1983 song Every Breath You Take.
