Crank That (Soulja Boy) is a crunk/snap song which is the debut single by American rapper Soulja Boy Tell’em, from his 2007 debut studio album, souljaboytellem.com.

Released on May 2, 2007, the song wrote and produced by Soulja Boy served as the lead single from the album, accompanying the Soulja Boy dance.

After its release, this song caused what has been referred to as “the biggest dance fad since Macarena“.

It’s ridiculous saying the single topped the Billboard Hot 100 right? How can it not?? Actually, the single spent 7 weeks on the chart and was Number 21 on the Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.

It was also the first song ever to sell 3 million digital copies in the US.
