30 Confirmed Dead, 89 Injured in Yobe Bomb Attack – Hospital Officials

Hospital officials in Yobe State, represented by the Executive Secretary of Yobe Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Mamman Mohammed, has confirmed that 119 casualties were reported, with 30 deaths in the Monday bomb attack in Potiskum, Yobe State.
A statement was made in front of reporters, to the governor or Yobe State, Ibrahim Gaidam, when he visited the Potiskum General Hospital on Tuesday. The number of deaths is expected to rise in the coming days as some of the injured patients are said to be in critical condition.
The governor, while speaking to the patients said “The government will bear all the medical bills of the victims, including those referred to other hospitals outside the state.”
He also condoled with the Shiite group on the death of their members.
