Arsenal legend, Ian Wright calls Ighalo one-season wonder

Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright, has labelled Watford’s Odion Ighalo, as a one-season wonder.

The Super Eagles striker scored 15 goals in 37 league appearances last season, but has struggled this term, managing only one goal in nine matches.

“Ighalo looks like a one-season wonder,” Wright said.

“He was not scoring goals in Spain (before he came to England).

“If he could kick into the form of last season and start scoring goals like he did last season, Watford will win more games this season.”

Wright himself scored 239 goals for Arsenal, West Ham, Crystal Palace among other clubs during his playing days.

Watford are seventh on the Premier League table with 15 points after 10 matches. They travel to Liverpool on Sunday.
