If you’re looking for any remote reason to get into the holidays this year, leave it to Masego to supply the remedy. This year, the multihyphenate decided to throw his hat into the remake game by offering up his own take on the Christmas staple “My Favorite Things Tings,” a song originally found in The Sound Of Music and popularized by Julie Andrews’ performance during the 1965 Christmas special of The Garry Moore Show.

The song is no stranger to eclectic remixes with Andre 3000 notably flipping it on The Love Below. Now, ‘Sego carries the torch, naturally lacing it with his trap scatting and an appearance from his beloved saxophone, a direct line of comparison to the stylings of jazz musician and saxophonist John Coltrane, whose rendition of “Favorite Things” is one of the more recognizable ones.
