Erosion Washes Bridge Off In Edo

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Wednesday said the bridge linking Ibilo and Lampese communities in Edo State have been washed off due to heavy downpour.

The corps which made this known on its official FaceBook page announced that traffic from Lagos – Akure – Owo has been diverted from Ibilo through Igarra- Auchi – Okpella – Okenne – Abuja road.

The FRSC directed motorists coming from Abuja to ply the Okenne- Kabba- Ekiti axis to Lagos State, and assured that officials would be on ground to conduct traffic flow while relevant authorities have been contacted to immediately commence repairs on the bridge.
The corps said it would keep motorists and other road users abreast on the development, and urged road users to be extremely cautious.
