Arsenal football club has paid tribute to Ernie Crouch, the 90-year-old life-long Arsenal supporter who died on his way to Saturday’s match against Sunderland. In the tragic incident, Ernie was blown into the path of an oncoming bus by a strong gust of wind as he traveled to the Emirates stadium.

He had been going to Arsenal matches since 1934 and Arsenal was quick to take to their official Twitter account to pay their respects. A post read: "Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong fan Ernie Crouch. May he rest in peace."
