The song was first released as a single on October 13, 2001. Subsequently, it peaked highest at Number 3 on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs while reaching Number 25 in the UK.

However, a live version was released as a single on October 15, 2007, from their second live album Alive 2007.


In 2009, this live version won the duo a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording at the 41st Grammy Awards.

Furthermore, American rapper Kanye West prominently samples this song for his 2007 smash hit, Stronger.
