Caught In The Act!! See How Joseph Nwobike (SAN) Was Caught Bribing JusticeYunusa with N1m

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is investigating JosephNwobike, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) who is alleged to have bribed embattled High Court Judge, Justice Mohammed Yunusa, with N1 million.

According to Sahara Reporters, Justice Yunusa had issued an injunction stoppinganti-graft agencies from investigating orarresting the Personal Assistant (PA) to Patrick Akpobolokemi, the former Director General of the Nigeria Maritime administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).The EFCC discovered that Akpobolokemi’s PA had purchased a property in Banana Island, Lagos, from money allegedly obtained from corruptpractices at NIMASA.

Nwobike had persuaded Justice Yunusa to issue an injunction that will stop the investigation or arrest of the PA.


According to the news report, Nwobike was shocked when evidence connecting to him to the bribe and the injunction was shown to him.


It would be recalled that Justice Yunusa was also linked in the ongoing criminal trial of top lawyer, Rickey Tarfa.Yunusa had received N225, 000 from Tarfa, who claimed that the money wasa ‘gift’ to commiserate with Justice Yunusa over his father’s death.


It is also alleged that Justice Yunusa had issued the injunction that stopped investigation into the corrupt acquisitionof BMW bulletproff vehicles by formerminister of Aviation, Stella Oduah.

Yunusa has long since been transferred to Yobe state pending investigation intohis activities.
