A quadriplegic man who was "decapitated internally" in a horror car crash is starting a family with his new bride.

Joel Jackson shot into the limelight when a video of him dancing to his wedding song with wife Lauren went viral.

The couple, who are both 27, have told all about their sex life as they reveal they are trying for a baby.

Lauren, Joel's full-time carer in Jacksonville, Florida, told how they hope to conceive naturally.

They can enjoy an active sex life thanks to Joel's medication, which has to be taken methodically for them to be successfully intimate.

Lauren told the Mail Online : "He has complete feeling and everything works down there - most of the time.

"With that being said, everything physically and intimately, has to be completely coordinated and we can't be spontaneous.

"Not only do some of his medications cause erectile dysfunction, even Aleve, Ibuprofen, or Advil interferes.

"His schedule is not as flexible as most, and even the smallest things, like not being hydrated enough, can all cause issues sexually."

They are hoping to have their own child, but will turn to adoption if they aren't able to conceive naturally.
