TiK ToK is an electro pop dance pop song which is the debut single by American singer-songwriter Kesha, from her 2010 debut studio album, Animal.

Kesha wrote the song with its producers, Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco.

It was released as the album’s lead single on August 7, 2009 and achieved commercial success.

In the US, the single topped the Billboard Hot 100, Mainstream Top 40 and Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts. It also topped the charts in 14 other countries including Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

Tik Tok has been certified 5× platinum in the US and Australia; 7x platinum in Canada, 2x platinum in New Zealand, Spain and Italy; as well as platinum in numerous countries.

It broke the record for the biggest single-week sum of all time for a female artist selling 610,000 digital downloads in just one week and was also the best-selling single worldwide in 2010 –selling 12.8 million copies.
