Bedingfield wrote the Mark Taylor-produced song.

On November 25, 2002, Island Records and Polydor Records released the track as the third single from the album, launching the rookie into limelight.

Subsequently, the single peaked at Number 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100 while topping the UK Singles chart and charts in Denmark.

It also entered the top 20 on the majority of charts that it appeared on.

The single also earned a single platinum certification in the UK, and bagged gold in Denmark and Australia.
