Congolese musician Awilo Longomba’s second album, Coupé Bibamba, was released on April 4, 1998.
The soukous album was indeed a game changer for Longomba as it guaranteed his fame and success across Africa, America and Europe. Some music pundits even argue it is the greatest soukous album of all time.
The album was released officially in France in 2001 by Jimmy’s International Production (JIP) Productions.
