How to Love is an R&B pop song by American recording artist Lil Wayne, from his 2011 ninth studio album, Tha Carter IV.

Wayne wrote the song with assistance from its producers, the duo Drum Up and Noel “Detail” Fisher.

It was released as the third single from the album on May 26, 2011 and later released to urban contemporary radio stations on June 24, 2011.

The single peaked at Number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100, thus making it Wayne’s third highest peak on the chart as the primary artist.

Its highest peak was on the US Billboard Rhythmic chart, where it reached the top, also reaching an outstanding Number 20 on the UK R&B charts.

It doesn’t really come as a surprise that the song has bagged a 4x platinum certification in the US.
