Just like Katy Perry’s Roar, the track was produced by Dr. Luke and Cirkut. The song serves as the lead single from the album and was released on iTunes on September 27, 2011.

In the US, the single peaked at Number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, its highest peak in any country.

The official remix to Strange Clouds features rappers T.I. and Young Jeezy.

However, it introduces a new verse from B.o.B and a slightly modified chorus. In addition, the song has sold over 1.3 million digital copies worldwide and earned a 2x platinum certification in the US.
