You Are Not Alone is an R&B ballad which was written by R. Kelly and is the second (2nd) single from Michael Jackson‘s 1995 studio album, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book 1.

In the first week alone the song sold a whooping 120,000 copies and hence was massively successful. It was certified platinum by the RIAA and holds a Guinness World Record as the first song in the 37-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to debut at number one.

In the United States, Michael Jackson had You Are Not Alone as his thirteenth (13th) and last number one hit song during his lifetime.
