I Wish is an R&B song recorded by American singer-songwriter R. Kelly, from his 2000 fourth studio album TP-2.com.

He wrote and produced the song which is dedicated to his mother as well as friends and loved ones of his who passed away.

On August 25, 2000, it was released by Jive Records as the album’s first single.

The single topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs while reaching Number 14 on the Hot 100.

The remix, titled I Wish Remix (To the Homies We Lost), features Hip Hop duo Boo & Gotti.

Tidbit: This song was originally going to feature rapper 2Pac, but he died before recording his verse.
